Medical Advisor Oncology (12 months FTC Contract)

To provide an intermediate support level between case managers and the medical advisor in the Oncology Medical Advisors Team. To ensure that the scheme or organisation is protected from over-utilisation or inappropriate claiming by service providers that leads to abuse of member and scheme funds.

• To provide an intermediate support level between case managers and the medical advisor in the Oncology Medical Advisors Team
• Assist with high level queries and escalations, and the preparation of ex gratia cases, CMS complaints and other formal communication
• Assist the medical advisor with projects
• Assist in the preliminary drafting of formal documents (ex gratia, CMS responses, and medical letters).
• Liaise with providers regarding treatment requests and clinical information / updates
• Manage and clear cases referred to the medical advisor team
• Prepare and present cases for Hospicom
• Ensure ongoing maintenance of policies
• Support and educate the case managers on new drugs and diseases
• Prepare and submit monthly report on stats of work done
• Attend monthly clinops meetings and represent Oncology team.
