Fitter / Millwright

Well established company based in East London are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fitter Artisan to work as part of a small, dedicated maintenance team to maintain our automatic hydraulic brick manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will have a strong background maintaining automated hydraulic equipment, planned maintenance and previous experience in the industry or similar. The facility operates 5 / 6 days a week, 18 hours a day, requiring flexibility and a commitment to ensuring maximum equipment uptime.

The successful candidate will be a strong team player, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain a high level of safety and cooperation / interaction with production.

Responsibilities :

• Perform planned maintenance tasks on hydraulic systems, machinery and auxiliary plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair faults, minimising downtime.
• Conduct routine inspections and condition monitoring.
• Execute preventative maintenance schedules.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure seamless integration of maintenance activities.
• Maintain accurate records and reports as required by the planned maintenance system.
• Assist with project work and upgrades as required.
