The successful candidate will oversee and maintain the management accounting and control of the company’s costing system. This role involves managing variances, analysing manufacturing performance, and ensuring effective reporting and corrective action planning. The role will also lead a finance team, drive process improvements, and develop scalable solutions to support future growth.
Management Accounting and Cost Control
- Oversee the company’s costing system, ensuring accuracy and integrity in cost reporting.
- Monitor and analyse cost structures, including production costs, and identify areas for cost reduction.
- Specific costs to include labour, waste and other key operational costs.
Variance Analysis
Analyse variances between actual and budgeted costs and assess the impact on the company’s financial performance.Develop and implement strategies to minimize the impact of variances and to reduce costs where appropriateDevelop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to manufacturing.Evaluate manufacturing performance against benchmarks and industry standards.Report on manufacturing contribution and strategies to improve profitability by product channel.Manufacturing KPIs and Performance

Minimum 5 years’ experience in Finance, preferably in the manufacturing industry in a JSE listed company.
Management and development of various costing models
Business process knowledge
Risk management and governance knowledge
IT literate, excellent MS Excel knowledge, familiarity with any ERP system and any integrated business analysis tool is a strong plus
