EXPERIENCE : 4-6 years professional IT experience

COMMENCEMENT : 01 November 2025

LOCATION : Hybrid : Midrand / Menlyn / Rosslyn / Home Office rotation

Qualifications / Experience

Relevant IT or Computer Sciences tertiary degree
Relevant IT certification
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the IT sector with some responsibility for managing large cloud / hybrid environments
Relevant Azure certifications are a plus
Experience with cloud-native application development
Agile working methodology experience (Mandatory)
Strong collaboration and team development experience

Essential Skills Requirements

Strong experience with Csharp Core

Solid understanding of Azure services (App Services AKS Key Vault etc.)

Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Helm charts

Experience with GitHub Actions for CI / CD

Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and automation

Good understanding of REST APIs and microservices architecture

Version control with Git

Advantageous Skills Requirements

Frontend development experience especially with Angular

Experience with Docker

Knowledge of monitoring and logging in cloud environments

Exposure to Agile methodologies

Knowledge of IAC (Infrastructure as Code)

Azure DevOps experience

Container orchestration expertise

Cloud optimization and cost management

Security best practices in cloud environments

Performance testing and optimization

Advanced monitoring and observability strategies

Role Requirements

Design develop and maintain applications using C# Core

Build and deploy cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure

Develop and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes and Helm

Implement CI / CD pipelines using GitHub Actions

Collaborate with DevOps to automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments

Write clean maintainable and testable code

Troubleshoot and resolve application and infrastructure issues

Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices

Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning retrospectives and daily standups

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features

Ensure application security and data protection

Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends

Mentor and guide junior developers in best practices

Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and tools

Document technical specifications and architectural decisions

Collaborate effectively with developers operations teams and stakeholders

Maintain compliance with enterprise security and governance standards

Analyze and implement business requirement specifications

Review system proposals and provide expert technical input and recommendations

Develop readable extendable reusable scalable and efficient code

Ensure seamless handover capabilities with minimal transition requirements

Maintain compliance and adherence to standards for audit and quality assurance

Update user stories in JIRA and maintain documentation in Confluence

Prepare comprehensive system / functional documentation and user manuals

Coordinate with external vendors and third-party integration partners

Escalate deviations blockers and impediments to relevant leadership

Additional responsibilities as per AWM Charter or department manager direction
