Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in advanced bookkeeping tasks and comfortable managing multiple processes and workflows independently. While previous experience with "Buildium" accounting software is strongly preferred we are open to candidates with solid bookkeeping backgrounds who are eager to learn. Startup experience is a nice to have but not a requirement. The successful candidate will be a self-starter resourceful and capable of conducting thorough research independently before seeking guidance.

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable accounts receivable general ledger entries and bank reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and assist with monthly and yearly close processes.
• Perform detailed reviews of financial data identifying discrepancies and correcting errors.
• Process payroll and ensure tax compliance.
• Work with Buildium accounting software (preferred experience).
• Prepare financial reports and statements as needed presenting them in a clear concise manner.
• Conduct thorough research to resolve accounting issues before asking for assistance ensuring high levels of accuracy.
• Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
• Manage multiple workflows and projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive and efficient working environment.

This is an independent role that requires self-motivation and an ability to manage various tasks effectively. While we value collaboration we expect our Bookkeeper to be comfortable taking initiative and solving problems independently.
