The Junior Financial Accountant is responsible for the processes including, but not limited to the population, analyses, reporting, administration of the financial functions within the branch.
Key deliverables
Financial Accounts
- Process month end journals, reconciliations or ledger accounts, creditor payments.
- Ensure that financial system setup and maintained to ensure that all transactions are correctly captured and reflected in the general ledger accounts.
Fixed assets
Compile all Asset Requisitions and ensure all supporting documentation is attached.Maintain Asset Registers for both depreciation (for balance sheet) and Wear and Tear (SARS).Ensure that all Asset Registers are accurate and complete.Process acquisitions, impairments, disposals, transfers, and any other adjustments e.g. change in useful life monthly.Monthly depreciation runs.Ensure asset journal postings are accurate.Prepare asset register versus TB reconciliations for all categories monthly.Assist with forecasting reports.Compile and maintain templates and reports as required by management.IAS16 reconciliations.Maintain structured SOPs for Assets, including acquisitions, measuring, disposals, recording and control.Prepare and load the payments of the assets.Capturing of assets and garments on ELCB.Asset Verification and maintenance.Inventory Management

Accounting Diploma / DegreeMinimum of 3 years experience in a service-related industry or production environment / supervisory positionGrade 12 / NQF level #4 or equivalentAdministrative experienceExcellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awarenessAbility to communicate, both verbally and written, clearly and accurately in English.Strong organizational and administrative skills.Resourceful and problem-solving skillsProblem solvingProficient computer literacy on MS Office related packages (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook) and Company related software systems.
