Job descriptionManage the maintenance function at a production plant and / or a specific area of responsibility Degree N Levels in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering OR National Diploma in Engineering or Millwright Trade 5+ years relevant experience in applying job related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level in a food manufacturing plant 5+ years’ people management experience Technical experience : High Speed Machinery, Packaging machinery, PLC, SCADA, Fault finding, Pneumatic & Electrical controls Business English : Fluent Computer literacy Ability to influence Coach and develop people Proactive and action orientated Maintains high standards Achieves Results Effectively Build high performing teams Business acumen Lead and drive change for improvement Collaborate with others to achieve a common objective Commitment and motivation Administrative capabilities Thinking and reasoning logically Application of financial principles and practices Ability to negotiate Manage maintenance function at branch and / or area of responsibility Ensure optimal maintenance approach and improvement techniques e.g. OMM, RCM Ensure uninterrupted supply of energy and services to facility / branch Manage maintenance function, engineering store where applicable Ensure that equipment comply with safety requirements Plan and execute maintenance plan Establish continuous improvement practices Optimise and reduce the maintenance cost Manage and reduce the electrical, steam, water, etc. consumption Manage engineering stock Manage the maintenance fixed cost budget Assist in managing the capex budget Ensure optimal utilisation of staff Apply consistent discipline Train and develop staff Conduct meetings and ensure effective communication to all Liaise and communicate with management in all departments Provide leadership and training to artisans. Set objectives, manage and measure performance of subordinates Establish safety practices in accordance with the OSHACT Implement actions to reduce the environmental impact of the plant Create a safe and efficient working environment (SHE) Establish a safety culture at the plant Oversee the execution of projects 2025 / 11 / 10 Engineering / Technical jobs
