Van Schaik Bookstore is looking for a hands-on, customer-focused Buyer Assistant to assist the Category Buyers with daily operations and contribute to our purpose of serving the education sector. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager : Non-Books, the successful candidate will perform various duties incidental to the operation of stationery / product services as directed :
- Maintain product listings, pricing and changes on VSOS
- List approved products and confirm product details with suppliers
- List products as requested by stores through the “Non-stock items” on VSOS
- Place approved products on promotion when required
- Update supplier product and price changes upon supplier notifications
- Confirm sell prices with stores upon request
- Process assigned product quotations
- Source products and confirm pricing with suppliers
- Process orders with suppliers
- Assist stores with product enquiries
- Assist with adhoc office duties
- Attend supplier meetings
- Complete tasks given by Manager
