Responsible for conducting precise dimensional measurements of vehicle components to ensure compliance with drawings and dimensional specifications.
Provides detailed dimensional analyses to support part approval processes and facilitate corrections to achieve the desired CAD / drawing accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform dimensional measurement of vehicle components to verify conformity with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Conduct detailed measurement and analysis to support part approval processes for both internal and external supplier components.
- Provide dimensional analysis and problem-solving expertise to address production concerns and enhance overall product quality.
- Execute dimensional approvals to ensure successful component release at required quality levels for relevant PEP milestones.
- Support external suppliers by ensuring correct application of dimensional metrology methods and principles in line with ISO / VDA standards.
Qualification Requirements
National Diploma in Mechanical , Electrical , or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent).Experience Required
Minimum of 5 years experience in dimensional metrology measurement (tactile or optical).Minimum of 5 years experience using measurement software such as PC-DMIS , GOM , or PolyWorks .Essential Skills and Competencies
Proficient in offline and teach programming for CMM facilities.Advanced computer literacy , particularly in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).Working knowledge of CAD software (preferably CATIA ).Understanding of CMM maintenance and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles.Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and designing / building measurement fixtures .Strong understanding of the vehicle manufacturing process , including Press Shop, Body Shop, Assembly, and purchased parts manufacturing.Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.Effective planning and prioritization skills.
