Job description

ISTA Personnel Solutions South Africa - we are a global BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) company, partnering with a USA-based client in the healthcare industry.

We need a skilled Project Manager to lead a remote technical team and ensure efficient and accurate project delivery. The successful candidate will oversee AI Engineers, Python Developers, Server Managers / Data Loaders, and Excel Power Query / DAX Experts—while also rolling their sleeves up to work on tasks themselves (hands-on).

PLEASE NOTE :

  • Working Hours : This role requires you to work EST hours Mon - Fri from 9am to 6pm EST (15h00 to 24h00 South African time - subject to change dependant on daylight savings)
  • Internet Requirements : A fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) and the ability to support a wired Ethernet connection is mandatory. Applicants without a fixed fibre line cannot be considered.
  • Power Backup : A reliable power backup solution is required to manage load shedding and power outages . Applicants without a power backup cannot be considered.
  • Work Environment : This is a remote role for South African Citizens only.

Responsibilities :

  • Direct and manage the remote team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality project outcomes.
  • Oversee task planning and execution using sprint-based methodologies.
  • Engage with partner companies to confirm requirements and provide progress updates.
  • Lead projects through all phases, proactively resolving barriers to success.
  • Contribute hands-on effort to project tasks as required, beyond supervisory duties.
  • Offer technical insight and support leveraging expertise in Python.
  • Guarantee data accuracy and integrity across all project deliverables.

    • Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years management experience, specifically managing remote working programming teams.
  • Proven track record with sprint-based projects (Agile / Scrum).
  • Strong understanding of Python and Excel.
  • Experience with Power BI will be an added benefit
  • Ability to push results without bureaucracy.

    • Preferred Skills

  • Experience with database management, Power BI, data security, or Azure.
  • Familiarity with AI, data loading, or Power Query / DAX.
  • Comfort with tools like ClickUp, Jira, Trello, or Asana.
