JOB DESCRIPTION
To promote and deliver professional, commercially viable and quality clinic services in compliance with South African Nursing Council regulations and company standards.
Purpose and Objectives
- Manage a commercially viable clinic in line with company guidelines
- Provide lifestyle management screening tests
- Conduct health immunisations and baby health monitoring
- Offer and provide reproductive health services
- Provide adult immunisations
- Provide Primary Health Care e.g. minor ailments and wound care
- Manage medical waste, ensure a safe environment and safety precautions are taken
- Manage adverse events and emergencies
- Counsel and advise patients on health information, weight management
- Refer patients to Pharmacists and other health professionals when appropriate
- Plan and implement projects eg. Health week
- Develop health professional networks
Qualifications and Experience
Registration as Professional Nurse3 year diploma in nursing or a 4 year degreeA minimum of 3 years practical experience in a broad range of nursing disciplinesComputer literate, MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)Skills, Abilities and Job Related Knowledge
Ensures patient information is held securely, confidentially and accurately maintained on an electronic systemAdministration and reporting to ensure efficient running of the clinic as per company policy and processesEnsures payment for services received by ensuring controls in place and adhered toManages, monitors and orders clinic services stock and equipment, along with prevention of loss and shrinkage and monitoring cold chainFinancial and commercial acumenEnsures SANC registration and indemnity up to dateEstablishes locum network and arranges locumsImplements and conducts self‑audit toolTime managementCompetencies
