Head School of Law : The Head of Law School will be required to lead the strategic and operational management of the Law School, ensuring high quality delivery.
Responsibilities
- Provide academic and administrative leadership to the Law School, promoting excellence in teaching, research, and professional service.
- Develop and implement strategic plans that align with the broader objectives of the university and respond to changes in legal education and practice.
- Oversee the development and revision of curricula, ensuring they meet the highest educational standards and are responsive to the evolving needs of the legal profession.
- Manage the recruitment, development, and retention of faculty and staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Cultivate relationships with alumni, legal professionals, and other stakeholders to enhance opportunities for collaboration, funding, and employment for students.
- Represent the Law School within the university and externally in the legal community, enhancing its reputation and visibility.
- Monitor and manage the school's budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support its strategic priorities.
- Encourage a culture of research and scholarship among faculty and students, securing funding and resources to support their initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and continuous improvement of educational practices.
