Junior Security Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Junior Security Engineer. This role includes security monitoring, incident detection, and troubleshooting for both internal systems and clients. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles, and is eager to grow within a dynamic SOC environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor SIEM platforms for suspicious activity and threats.
• Analyse logs from security tools to detect incidents.
• Assist in investigating and escalating security alerts.
• Support incident response, including containment and recovery.
• Work with senior staff on malware, phishing, and access issues.
• Help manage firewalls, endpoint policies, and vulnerabilities.
• Stay informed on emerging threats and threat intelligence.
• Support compliance efforts (e.g., ISO 27001).
• Document incidents and maintain SOPs.
• Provide security support to internal and external users.
• Assist in tuning and configuring security tools.
• Collaborate with SOC, network, and IT teams.
