- Main Purpose :
- The Primary function of this role is to support the Finance Manager : Business Process, with the expansion of the shared services centre in Johannesburg supporting Impala’s African 3rd party freight forwarding operations including - Input transport / FOB / Ocean Freight data, into system - Review project PnL to ensure accuracy and validity - Review truck tracking reports & analyse cargo movements - Settlement proposals are issued to vendors accurately and on time - Perform quality review audits on projects completion and timeous submission to Finance for invoicing .## ## Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities :
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Industry experience in cross border logistics and freight forwarding essential;
- Experience with reviewing truck manifests, bills of lading, POD’s and other customs documents essential
- Strong MS Excel skills essential
- Process orientated with a good attention to detail;
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks in fast changing environment;
- Must be able to work under pressure and adhere to aggressive deadlines
- 1+ years’ experience in transport administration, reviewing customs documents, rates management, project reviews and issuing purchase orders to vendors
- Strong communicator and fluent in English
- Strong systems knowledge (Navision, Navitrans & Qlikview);
- Key Responsibilities
- Transport project management
- Ensure that projects are correctly set up within the system in terms of project SOPs & Quotations
- Review truck data received from sites and upload data into system;
- Ensure that sell & buy rates charged agree to quotations and authorised price lists;
- Review all PODs and related documents for completeness and accuracy before invoicing
- Issue purchase Settlement Proposals (i.e. purchase orders) to vendors (transporters, warehouses etc.) once services rendered;
- Upload supporting documents into online document management system;
- Review of projects and submit to finance team for invoicing;
- Ensure that all transport projects are correctly closed off and relevant documents are archived;
- Perform quality control reviews on completed projects.
