Long-Term Insurance Sales Consultant
About the Role :
We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Long-Term Insurance Sales Consultant to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling a range of long-term insurance products to new and existing clients. This role requires excellent sales ability, product knowledge, and a commitment to client service and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities :
- Sell long-term insurance products including life cover, funeral policies, disability, and critical illness insurance
- Identify prospective clients and generate new business through networking, referrals, cold calling, and marketing campaigns
- Conduct thorough financial needs analyses to understand client requirements and offer suitable insurance solutions
- Present product features and benefits clearly and professionally to clients
- Follow up on leads and close sales to meet individual and team targets
- Maintain accurate client records and update policy information regularly
- Assist clients with queries, policy amendments, claims, and renewals
- Ensure full compliance with FAIS, FICA, and other relevant industry regulations
- Stay informed about the latest products, services, and compliance requirements in the insurance sector
- Provide after-sales support and build long-term relationships with clients to encourage retention and referrals
Minimum Requirements :
Matric / Grade 12 (essential)RE5 Certificate (essential)FAIS-compliant qualification (minimum of 30 credits or NQF Level 4 in a financial services-related field)Class of Business (COB) : Long-Term Insurance (advantageous)Clear criminal and credit recordProficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Fluent in English (additional languages advantageous)Strong administrative and organisational skillsExperience :
Minimum of 2 years' experience in long-term insurance salesProven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targetsExperience conducting client needs analysis and providing tailored insurance solutionsKnowledge of insurance products, sales techniques, and regulatory frameworksKey Competencies :
