In this role, you’ll take ownership of designing intuitive and engaging experiences for our B2B AI platform. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver user-centric designs that drive engagement and retention, ensuring our platform is both accessible and effective for our customers. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within a fast-paced, innovative startup environment.

The Role As a UX Designer, you will be responsible for researching, designing, and improving user experiences across our B2B AI platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Customer Success, to create seamless, user-centric designs that enhance engagement and drive business impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct user research and usability testing to understand user needs, pain points, and behaviours.
  • Lead UX and UI design initiatives, creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
  • Improve usability across our platform to enhance user engagement and retention.
  • Build upon and evolve our existing design system to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to conceptualise, design, and refine new features.
  • Translate stakeholder briefs into actionable design solutions that align with business goals.
  • Work with complex interactions for our B2B product, ensuring intuitive workflows and seamless customer journeys.
  • Develop and optimise design workflows, streamlining the design process for efficiency and impact.
  • Strengthen brand principles through UI components and assets.
  • Provide detailed design documentation and work closely with frontend developers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation.
  • Advocate for a user-centric approach, iterating on designs based on user feedback and data insights.

Requirements

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification equivalent to NQF 6 or higher
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in UX Design, preferably in a SaaS or startup environment.
  • Strong expertise in usability, information architecture, and interaction design.
  • Proven experience in user flows, feature prioritisation, wireframing, and prototyping.
  • Experience designing for multi-device web applications and responsive design.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • A keen eye for aesthetics, details, and UI consistency.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of UX projects.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present and justify design decisions to stakeholders.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing user experience design projects.
  • Native English speaker or business-level proficiency in English.
  • Experience managing, evolving, or building design systems is a plus.
