Job description

We are seeking Commercial & Operations senior personnel who will be responsible for overseeing the commercial strategy and direction of the company. This role is instrumental in driving revenue growth managing key customer relationships and ensuring the alignment of the companys commercial activities with its overall business objectives. The incumbent will work closely with other senior leaders to develop and execute business strategies that stimulate business growth and enhance the organisations market positioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create oversee and carry out commercial strategies in accordance with the aims and objectives of the business.
  • Oversee and guide the commercial team to meet predetermined goals and targets.
  • Find new markets (local and internationally) to enter and make sure the companys market share and profitability are increasing steadily.
  • Create and maintain relationships with important partners suppliers and customers.
  • Make well-informed company decisions by analysing and interpreting consumer behaviour and market trends.
  • Work together with key stakeholders and departments of product development marketing and sales to propel company expansion.
  • Manage contractual commitments and supervise contract negotiations.
  • Create and oversee financial reports forecasts and budgets.
  • Verify adherence to industry rules and corporate policy.
  • Use key performance indicators to track and report on business performance.
  • Lead and mentor the commercial team while cultivating a high-performance culture.
  • Keep up with developments in technology industry trends and the competitive environment.

Requirements

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in a senior position akin to that of a commercial director
  • A bachelors degree in marketing finance business administration or a similar discipline
  • Masters in business administration advantageous
  • Knowledge of business development and strategic initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of data analysis and market research
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication and leadership abilities
  • Proven capacity to establish and preserve relationships with important stakeholders
  • History of effectively leading and building teams
  • Expertise in budgeting and financial management
  • Proficiency in contract negotiation and administration
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory matters
  • Capacity to make data-driven judgments and think strategically
  • Proven track record working in a business development or commercial capacity
  • Excellent analytical abilities and data analysis skills
  • Outstanding decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent team management and leadership abilities
  • Excellent negotiating and communication abilities
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and other pertinent programs
  • Capacity to oversee several projects and adhere to deadlines
  • Awareness of market developments and the competitive environment
  • Familiarity with ERP and CRM software
  • Willingness to travel when necessary for work
