Job Description

Qualifying Criteria

• Grade 10 or equivalent
• Blasting Certificate / Onsetter or Banksman Certificate (as per shaft requirements).
• Must have MQA competency B Certificate
• At least 5 years' experience in shaft operations, with 2+ years in a supervisory / leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of shaft systems, mining legislation, and safety practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit with the ability to work in an underground / mining environment.
• Interpersonal communication skills are required and essential
• Proficient in English and any other of 11 official languages
• Flexibility is required and essential (able to work on Sundays and public holidays etc.)
• South African Citizenship
• Clear Criminal Record
