Introduction

Reporting to the Group Executive Distribution, the Senior General Manager Distribution Grids will be responsible for overseeing the development, management and strategic direction of Distribution’s grid operations and ensure the organisation’s grids operate efficiently, are aligned with national energy goals, and meet the highest standards of performance, safety and sustainability.

Energy distribution systems, grid optimisation and infrastructure development.

Strong understanding of the regulatory environment in the South African energy sector.

Professional certifications or memberships in relevant industry organisations e.g., Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership.

Maintain operational oversight, including grid optimisation and performance.

Lead infrastructure development and maintenance.

Maintain optimal stakeholder engagement.

Minimum requirements

Qualification(s) :

BSc Degree in Engineering at a NQF 8 level with 480 credits or a

B Eng in Engineering at a NQF 8 level with 480 credits

Related Minimum Experience :

15 Years’ extensive experience in distribution network management, grid infrastructure and capital project management.

Professional Registration Body :

Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)
