We are seeking an experienced Buyer / Storeman / Stock Controller with a strong background in the electrical field. This role is crucial to our operations, acting as the key link between our technical staff and suppliers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of electrical products and terminology, excellent supplier relationship skills, and a proactive attitude towards stock management and procurement.

Critical Skills & Responsibilities

• Procure electrical components, tools, and materials as requested by technical teams.
• Interpret technical requests accurately and suggest solutions when appropriate.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with electrical suppliers to ensure the best pricing, availability, and support.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure critical stock is always available.
• Conduct regular stock takes and maintain accurate records.
• Receive, inspect, and organize stock in the storeroom.
• Liaise with site and project managers to forecast stock requirements.
• Implement and maintain stock control systems to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Assist with sourcing alternative products using your product knowledge.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and health & safety regulations.
