Job description

The role of a Diesel Technician involves maintaining and repairing our fleet and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attending to breakdowns
  • Inspecting and repairing vehicles
  • Managing maintenance schedules
  • Tracking inventory

Requirements

  • A Grade 12 education or equivalent qualification
  • Red Seal Trade Test certificate for a Diesel Mechanic
  • Valid Code 10 driver's license with Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
  • At least two years' experience in truck fleet maintenance
  • Proficiency in computer applications including MS Word and MS Excel
  • Physical fitness (desirable)
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision (desirable)
  • Experience with electronic maintenance systems (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act (desirable)

    • Working hours are from Monday to Thursday, 07 : 30 to 17 : 00, and Fridays from 07 : 30 to 16 : 00. Overtime may be required based on operational needs.
