A leading company in the timber and building materials industry is looking for a dynamic and driven Sales Representative to handle both internal counter sales and external client visits . The ideal candidate will have experience in timber or hardware sales, a strong customer focus, and a passion for building relationships.
Key Responsibilities :

Internal Sales (Office-based) :
Assist walk-in customers and process orders at the sales counter
Provide product information, pricing, and advice on timber and related products
Prepare quotations and follow up on outstanding quotes
Ensure accurate documentation and assist with stock availability queries
Support the admin and logistics team with order processing

External Sales (Field-based) :
Visit existing and prospective clients (contractors, retailers, developers, etc.)
Build and maintain strong customer relationships
Identify new business opportunities and grow client base
Provide on-site support and product recommendations
Achieve sales targets and report on sales activity
Requirements : Matric (Grade 12)
Valid Drivers
Minimum 23 years experience in sales (timber, hardware, or building materials industry preferred)
Valid South African drivers license and own reliable transport
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Computer literate (MS Office, POS or ERP systems experience beneficial)
