The Opportunity

Are you passionate about analyzing data, forecasting demand, and ensuring seamless supply chain coordination? We are looking for a Demand Planning and Finance Analyst to join our team in Midrand, Johannesburg. This critical role will ensure the optimal flow of materials by planning, executing, and monitoring the movement of goods from suppliers to warehouses. You’ll develop and maintain customer and sales demand forecasts for all product categories, transform these forecasts into timely purchasing strategies, and ensure inventory availability to meet market demand.

In short, this role is pivotal in bridging demand forecasting and supply chain efficiency while maintaining a keen eye on cost-effectiveness and overall operational excellence.

Key Challenges

As our Demand Planning and Finance Analyst, you’ll tackle the following key challenges :

Own and execute the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to align market demands and inventory strategies.

Forecast customer demand by analyzing historical data and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Translate demand forecasts into precise supply purchase orders, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery to 3PL facilities.

Ensure minimal supply chain vulnerabilities, such as out-of-stock issues, overstocking, expiries, or disruptions.

Optimize inventory management and lead root-cause analysis on forecast variances.

Build and maintain relationships with global suppliers while addressing anomalies in purchase orders or shipments.

Monitor and report forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and purchase order progress.

Implement continuous improvement initiatives to advance demand planning, fulfillment processes, and supply chain best practices.

Collaborate with logistics and financial teams to align supply chain strategies with business objectives.

Who You Are as Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a highly motivated, systematic, and results-driven professional. As our ideal Demand Planning and Finance Analyst :

You have the qualifications and experience :

A degree (NQF 7) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Finance, or a similar field.

3–5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management, Demand Planning, or Finance.

Knowledge of MRP, ERP systems (SAP), Inventory Management, and Inbound / Outbound Logistics.

You are skilled and solution-oriented :

A proactive problem solver with attention to detail and a numerically driven mindset.

Strong in planning and prioritization, with sound communication and collaboration abilities.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (intermediate to advanced Excel) and SAP systems.

Equipped with outstanding teamwork, business acumen, and conflict management skills.

You deliver operational excellence :

Able to analyze data effectively and identify risks and opportunities for innovation.

You are flexible and customer-focused :
