Responsibilities
- Maintain Mechanical Packaging Equipment
- Ensure maintenance performed to company standards
- Drive reliability and equipment availability in packaging
- Manage utilities sustainably in area responsible
- Manage Maintenance teams
- Manage Maintenance Contractors
- Review Planned Maintenance tasks and plans
- Adhere to OSHACT and Food safety regulations
- Identify training needs and assist artisans in managing personal development
- Train packaging operators on basic maintenance principles (Autonomous Maintenance)
Qualifications
Recognised N6 Mechanical / Electrical Engineering Certificate and a trade test certificateKnowledge of packaging equipment workshop and engineering practices tools and apparatusMinimum of 5 years practical experience3 years experience managing a teamProven verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of safety regulations for toolsExperience in FMCG environment advantageKnowledge of all workshop / engineering tools machines apparatus and materialsComputer literate SAP MS Word & MS ExcelAbility to work independently and under pressureThe Company’s approved Employment Equity Plan and Targets will be considered as part of the recruitment process.
