Qualifications

Minimum requirement is a National Senior Certificate (NQF4) – with certificate or Diploma in Accounting of Finance advantageous.

Experience

2-3 years' experience within member processing / financial payments processing / Experience using financial software

Knowledge

Computer literate MS Office, Word / Excel / Power Point – advanced MS Excel advantageous.

Knowledge in account management (specifically member accounts / within a network Sales model advantageous)

Knowledge in basic Account journal entries

Knowledge Statement movement

Purpose

The Member Accounts : Clerk will be responsible for ensuring all the member related payments have been captured into the system. The job also serves as support for member payment related queries. The Member Accounts : Clerk is responsible for the tasks related to uploading members\' money received from Financial Providers, maintaining records of cash applications and account reconciliation. Additionally, ensures all the bank statements are balancing to the balance sheet.

§ Daily reconciliation of member funds received from the respective Financial Providers to the system.

§ Daily reporting on bank statement discrepancies for attendance.

Capturing and reconciling staff purchases

§ Weekly reconciliation of staff purchases on the crew account.

Member Statements

§ Assistance with compiling and submitting member statements to members on the account move

§ Investigating and addressing discrepancies on the member account.

Serve as support to member account inquiries

§ Provides consistent support to internal staff for member queries

§ Manages to enthusiastically assist on member queries set on investigative controls

§ Day to day timekeeping with regards to start and end of shift as well as breaks throughout the workday.

§ Consistent or no unexplained absenteeism without sufficient reason or prior warning in accordance with Company policy and guidelines.

§ Proactive execution of tasks and task prioritisation is done efficiently so that every possible effort to avoid overtime is taken.

    Accounts Assistant

    Our client, a leader in fruit distribution and exports, is seeking a vibrant and detail-oriented Finance / Logistics Assistant to join their Stellenbosch team.

    You'll be supporting operations both locally and across their branches in the EU and Middle East.

    Your Role Will Include :

  • Capturing orders, invoices, and credit notes on the ERP system
  • Creating packing lists and commercial / tax invoices
  • Monitoring AR and sending weekly statements
  • Monitor AP and prepare payments
  • Handling creditors and debtors\' tasks
  • Liaising with suppliers
  • Supporting export administration
  • Rackling ad hoc duties with flair
  • Matric and relevant qualification
  • Proficiency in Afrikaans and English
  • Experience in finance or logistics (bonus if in fruit exports)
  • Own Transport and Drivers.
