Motor Vehicle Mechanic - Semi Skilled

Job descriptionInspecting vehicle engine and mechanical / electrical components to diagnose issues accurately Inspecting vehicle computer and electronic system to repair, maintain and upgrade Conducting routine maintenance work aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity Replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc Schedule future maintenance sessions and advise motorists on good vehicle use Extensive client liaison Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job Keep logs of work and issues Maintain equipment and tools in good condition
REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 plus valid qualifications
- Proven experience as auto mechanic technician preferably with 3 or more years workshop experience and diagnostic experience.
- Valid driverâs licence & own vehicle
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
- Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
- Excellent physical condition
- Technician to have his own mechanical / diagnostic tools (preferred)
