Position : Mechanical Fitter (Urgent)

Location : Helderberg area

Industry : Established company in water treatment and chemical dosing industry

Salary : R15 000 – R22 000+ (CTC) p / m – Salary neg on exp

Benefits : 3% contribution to retirement annuity, close for holidays in December & 13th cheque depending on performance

Working hours : 7 : 45 – 16h45 (Monday to Thursday) 8 : 00 to 15 : 00 on Fridays.

Type : Permanent (6-month probation)

Ideal role for : A person who enjoys working with their hands and is detail oriented. Must have a good understanding of mechanical systems and able to troubleshoot and solve unexpected technical issues,.

Position reports to the Project Manager

Requirements

• Minimum N6 Mechanical qualification
• Relevant trade test qualification
• Strong basic technical and engineering abilities.
• Proven manufacturing skills, troubleshooting abilities and engineering knowledge.
• Minimum of 1 - 3 years’ working experience in site installations, manufacturing & assembly.
• Demonstrate leadership through effective interaction and communication with clients, peers and members of supervisory and management levels.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings
• Must be physical fit and able to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Sound understanding of an array of tools and technical equipment.
• Proficiency with both hand tools and machine tools is fundamental to the role.
• Microsoft Office Intermediate
• Valid and unendorsed Code 08 driver’s license
