We are seeking a Commis Chef to support the kitchen team with ingredient preparation and general tasks as needed. The role requires someone who takes pride in food preparation and contributes to creating meals that leave a lasting impression on guests.
Key Responsibilities :
Prepare food items according to set recipes and standards.
Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
Carry out daily checks on mise en place to ensure freshness and quality.
Rotate stock properly to avoid waste.
Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and promotions.
Keep work areas, utensils, and equipment clean and in good condition.
Follow kitchen procedures and service standards.
Adhere to food safety and hygiene guidelines at all times.
Requirements :
Culinary diploma or certificate.
2-3 years experience as a Commis Chef, ideally in a fine dining or 5-star environment.
Willingness to work flexible hours within operational needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
High attention to detail.
Reliable, disciplined, and able to work efficiently.
Ability to perform well under pressure.
Flexible and accountable.
