About the Role
As the IT Support Technician, you will be the first point of contact for IT-related issues, providing Level 1 and basic Level 2 support. You’ll manage helpdesk tickets, assist with hardware / software setups, and play an active role in IT projects. Expect to work in a fast-paced, supportive environment where no two days are the same.Key Responsibilities
Provide Level 1 and basic Level 2 technical support to approximately 180 users across three regions.Manage and resolve incidents and service requests via the IT ticketing system, ensuring SLA compliance.Deploy, configure, and maintain hardware and software for end users.Monitor IT systems and escalate alerts or issues as needed.Support network, telephony, and remote access systems.Maintain IT asset inventory and lifecycle documentation.Assist with software deployment, patching, and compliance.Participate in IT projects and maintain accurate documentation.Job Requirements
Key Requirements
Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA, MCITP); MCSE or equivalent is advantageous.Experience supporting end-user devices, peripherals, and software in enterprise environments.Familiarity with ticketing systems, endpoint management tools, and ITIL processes.Basic knowledge of server technologies (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP).Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Reader, and web browsers.Strong troubleshooting, communication, and time management skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team.High attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality and data security.ICT jobs
