Cost Estimator

Exciting opportunity to join a leading USA renewable energy organization that specializes in Industrial Solar installations and work remotely from the comfort of your home Job Purpose Provide cost estimation oversight and support business development initiatives.

This role will be crucial in assisting with proposals and RFP responses while ensuring accurate cost estimations for our projects.

Responsibilities

• Cost estimation oversight.
• Support Sales and Development team in preparing completive proposals and RFP responses.
• Analyze project requirements, specifications, and as builds to determine cost.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors and procurement team to confirm cost and specifications.
• Evaluate sites, review documents, and determine project feasibility.
• Works with Procurement team to confirm material estimates
• Assists with Research and Development as required by obtaining cost estimates and performing product analysis on new technology and equipment
• Coordinate sites visits as needed
• Assist with the sales proposal and bid documents to clients
• Perform other duties and special projects Working Hours and Flexibility : Standard Time (PST) : (November to March) Begin your workday at 8 : 00 AM California time (6 : 00 PM South African time).

Work a minimum of 5 hours until 1 : 00 PM California time (11 : 00 PM South African time).

Daylight Saving Time (PDT) : (March to November) Begin your workday at 8 : 00 AM California time (5 : 00 PM South African time).

Work a minimum of 5 hours until 10 : 00 PM California time (10 : 00 PM South African time) Extended Meetings : Occasionally, client meetings or calls may extend beyond these hours.

These meetings will not extend beyond 1 : 00 AM South African time , and the company will strive to schedule them within the defined timeslots.

Compensation Adjustment for Night Work : Weekly hours are reduced from 45 to 35 hours while maintaining full compensation.

Daily work hours : 5 hours during California business hours (as specified above).

2 flexible hours during the day to complete a total of 7 hours daily.

This reduction reflects the inconvenience of working late hours.
