Job Description Develop, implement, and manage a technology platform strategy to enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of Group Internal Audit (GIA) assurance services from audit planning through completion. The strategy will leverage digital platforms and include a detailed blueprint that continuously drives operational excellence and digital empowerment within GIA.
Responsibilities
- Draft and recommend a budget for designing and deploying digital assets within GIA.
- Enable an inclusive culture that upholds FirstRand's diversity, transformation guiding principles, and promises.
- Collaborate with GIA Exco and stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and implement business requirements.
- Define and implement product lifecycle management across GIA.
- Establish a technology architecture that supports the digital transformation of GIA operations.
- Lead personnel and foster an environment that promotes employee development and high performance.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise and thought leadership.
- Define, manage, and control activities of the multidisciplinary team to design and implement business requirements.
- Develop and implement support strategies for internal audit digital platforms, automation processes, and digital assets across GIA.
- Establish a comprehensive change‑management framework to facilitate seamless integration of automation and digital initiatives.
- Build robust relationships and effective collaboration with the ICT community to ensure alignment with FirstRand Digital and platform strategies.
- Monitor and report on the performance of automation initiatives using KPIs and other metrics to assess efficiency improvements and identify optimization opportunities.
- Promote ongoing automation improvements by keeping up with industry trends, best practices, and incorporating best‑of‑breed and best‑of‑suite strategies.
- Manage vendor relationships and collaborate with external solution providers to ensure successful implementation of automation tools, digital assets, and internal audit platforms.
Qualifications
Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering; postgraduate qualification is advantageous.Experience with cloud‑based automation solutions and integration with on‑premise infrastructure.At least 8 years of leading personnel at a management level with technical skills in software development and process automation.At least 3 years of experience with eGRC platforms.At least 5 years of experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.At least 5 years of experience designing and implementing technology architectures.At least 8 years of experience in software development, designing, and implementing automation tools and digital platforms.Proficiency in modern development frameworks and DevOps tools.Proficiency in Agile / Scrum frameworks.Budget and resource planning skills.Benefits
