Accountant

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Financial Accounting :
• Maintain general ledger and chart of accounts
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage accruals, pre-payments, and journal entries
• Reconcile bank and control accounts
• Management Accounting :
• Budget preparations and variance analysis
• Cash flow forecasting
• Cost tracking and analysis
• Assist in decision-making with financial data
• Bookkeeping :
• Process daily transactions
• Maintain records of income and expenses
• Manage supplier and customer accounts (AP / AR)
• Tax & Compliance :
• Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns to SARS
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and financial regulations
• Liaise with external audits and assist in audit preparation
• Payroll :
• Assist with or manage payroll processing
• Reconcile payroll liabilities
• Submit regulatory returns
