1st Engineer

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage and supervise the engineering team, delegating tasks and providing guidance as needed On Board Cruise Ship
• Plan and oversee the maintenance and repair of all mechanical and electrical systems on board the vessel
• Monitor fuel and lubricant consumption, ensuring efficient use and ordering supplies as needed
• Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment, identifying and addressing any potential issues
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs, including spare parts inventory
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures, including conducting regular safety drills and trainings for the engineering team
• Coordinate with other departments, such as deck and catering, to ensure smooth operation of the vessel
• Assist in the training and development of junior engineers and crew members
