Junior Project Developer (GIS Focus)

Your Mission
As a Junior Project Developer at Green Capital, you will provide essential support across the full project development lifecycle, with a particular focus on GIS mapping and site acquisition. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will help drive renewable energy projects from early‑stage site identification through to planning and permitting stages.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Supporting project development across all stages, from site acquisition through planning and permitting.
- Creating accurate GIS outputs, project layouts, maps and visualisations to support decision‑making and stakeholder engagement.
Role Description
Research property and landowner details for targeted sites, ensuring comprehensive and accurate data collection.Create shapefiles for both prospective and already signed land parcels.Support preparation of land contracts and related property documentation.Compile property maps and collect key land documents (Title Deeds, SG Diagrams, etc.).Maintain updated land acquisition status lists and provide regular reporting.Check environmental sensitivities and review relevant specialist input.Compile and prepare permitting application packs.Engage directly with authorities and stakeholders during approval processes, with potential to lead selected permitting tasks.Prepare project layouts, maps and visualisations using GIS and other tools.Requirements
Practical knowledge of GIS software (QGIS or ArcGIS required).Ability to interpret environmental and planning constraints (agri, ecology, heritage, aviation).University degree preferred in one of the following fields : Environmental Management / Environmental Sciences / Ecology / Conservation, Geography, Geodesy & Cartography, Spatial Planning, Energy, Land & Property Studies, or related disciplines with a strong GIS component.Excellent organisational and prioritisation abilities.High attention to detail and accuracy.Proactive and solution‑oriented mindset.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Category B driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally for site visits.Ideally, You Will Have
Prior experience or internships in renewable energy, data centre development, real estate, or public administration.A background or coursework in environmental impact assessment, land‑use planning, agricultural zoning, heritage requirements or biodiversity will be considered a strong advantage.What We Offer
