Job descriptionTo provide support across the Financial Accounting function, gaining exposure to core processes such as general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, statutory reporting, and audit preparation. The role is designed to develop technical accounting skills and practical experience under the guidance of qualified professionals. The role supports the business partners in ensuring financial alignment within the business, particularly between commercial and finance. Matric / Grade 12 equivalent. Financial Accounting Diploma or degree. Assist with month-end close activities including preparation of journals, updating loan schedules and reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts. Support the preparation of Annual Financial Statements and related working papers. Perform VAT and tax compliance tasks, including data collation for SARS submissions. Maintain and update fixed asset registers and assist with asset verification exercises. Contribute to internal control testing and documentation updates. Assist with audit deliverables, including compiling schedules and responding to queries. Participate in process improvement initiatives within the Finance team. Project Management & Support Support finance projects as required, for example SAP testing and updating of work instructions Rotations Spend time in other departments to learn about their business processes and gain business context Cross functional project with graduates from other disciplines Accounting / Financial Services jobs
