Qualifications / Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in software or operations engineering, particularly with Linux systems
- Minimum of 3 years of IT software development experience
Essential Skills Requirements
Proficiency in Linux operating systems, preferably SLESStrong programming skills in PythonExpertise in LDAP directory services such as 389DS etcExperience NFS and CIFS protocols (e.g., automounter, netgroups for network file systems)Ability to work collaboratively in a team environmentStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAdvantageous Skills Requirements
Knowledge of Perl, with a decreasing emphasis in future projectsUnderstanding of advanced networking conceptsExperience with continuous integration and deployment practicesKnowledge of cloud platforms and servicesUnderstanding of IT security best practicesAbility to adapt to new technologies and methodologiesExperience with GitHub, particularly GitHub ActionsUnderstanding of Scrum methodologies for agile project managementFamiliarity with application performance monitoring, specifically GrafanaExperience with infrastructure as code tools and configuration as codeAAP experience, including the writing of playbooksBe able to troubleshoot issues with PBIS for authentication and access managementRole Requirements
