Linux Systems Engineer – Sandton – R780k PA

Job descriptionInstall and upgrade Linux software across servers and workstations Set up and manage Linux file systems, user accounts, and access control Maintain and troubleshoot Mail Gateway systems (Postfix, Zimbra) Manage Nginx reverse proxies, load balancers, SSL certs, and scripting Support media processing, high-volume storage, and telephony (Vicidial / Bria) Leverage Ansible for automation and system management Monitor and optimize system performance Provide after-hours support for urgent Linux environment issues Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or relevant Linux certification Proven experience as a Linux Systems Engineer in production environments Strong command-line and scripting capabilities Experience with Nginx, MySQL, SSL, and backup / storage management Knowledge of OTRS / Znuny ticketing systems (bonus) Familiarity with Vicidial / Bria telephony systems (bonus) Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical skills
