Human Resources Officer – FMCG Retail (Cape Town)

Location : Cape Town, Western Cape

Salary : R180 000 – R250 000 (with benefits)

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Hotel Human Resources Manager to join our executive leadership team. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role will lead all HR functions in a 24 / 7 luxury operation, ensuring a motivated, high‑performing, and engaged workforce aligned with our strategic goals.

Qualifications & Criteria

  • 10+ years senior HR leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a large hotel or luxury hospitality environment.
  • Experience in a 24 / 7, shift‑based operation covering Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Banqueting.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labour law, recruitment, talent management, performance management, employee relations, and training & development.
  • Proven ability to implement strategies that drive employee engagement and operational success.
  • Experience leading large, multicultural teams with credibility, professionalism, and emotional intelligence.
  • Strong conflict‑resolution, coaching, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Deep understanding of the Cape Town hospitality labour market.
  • Must hold a valid South African ID.

  • Manage employee relations with professionalism and emotional intelligence.
  • Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and HR reporting.
  • Champion a culture of excellence that reflects the hotel’s purpose, vision, and values.
  • Drive leadership development and succession planning across departments.

    Director of Human Resources – Luxury Hotel (Bantry Bay)

    Location : Bantry Bay, Western Cape

    Salary : R1 800 000 – R2 500 000 (with benefits)

    Key Responsibilities

    Develop and execute the hotel’s HR strategy, lead all HR functions, shape organisational culture, drive transformation initiatives, advise senior management, implement leadership development programmes, and monitor HR metrics.

    About the Role

    Senior HR leader responsible for creating and executing organisation‑wide HR strategy. Reporting directly to the General Manager, oversee HR team and align people initiatives with strategic goals.

    Qualifications & Criteria

  • 10+ years senior HR leadership in large hotel or luxury hospitality.
  • Proven success in designing and implementing HR strategy that drives growth.
  • Strong knowledge of labour law, compliance, and hospitality‑specific practices.
  • Experience building high‑performing HR teams and coaching leaders.
  • Strategic thinking, executive presence, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Must hold a valid South African ID.
  • Key Responsibilities include aligning people initiatives with business, overseeing HR function, driving talent acquisition, development, succession, engagement, compliance, strategic workforce planning, and HR analytics.

    Human Resources Administrator – Synergy Frontiers

    Location : Athlone, Western Cape

    Salary : R15 000 – R30 000 (monthly)

    HR Officer responsible for day‑to‑day HR operations : recruitment, onboarding, policy implementation, performance management, payroll assistance, and record maintenance.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in recruitment – drafting ads, screening, schedule interviews.
  • Organise onboarding and orientation.
  • Maintain and update employee records.
  • Process payroll inputs and benefits administration.
  • Support policy implementation and compliance.
  • Address employee queries on policies and benefits.
  • Assist in performance review processes.
  • Support employee engagement programmes.
  • Prepare HR reports and ensure health & safety compliance.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years experience in HR.

  • Full‑time, starting at R12 500 per month.

    Human Resources Business Partner – Oncology Practice

    Role : Compliance and Reporting HR Business Partner for head‑office staff (≈50 employees).

    Key responsibilities include EE, BBBEE, Skills Development compliance; preparation of reports for Exco and Board; liaising with external transformation partners; and providing HR support on recruitment, onboarding, performance, and engagement.
