Project Manager (Applications) (Contract) (CPT Onsite)

ENVIRONMENT :

A cutting-edge Energy Specialist urgently seeks to fill a 6 to 12 Month Contract role for a proactive & highly driven Project Manager with proven knowledge and experience of the Software Development Lifecycle and how this translates to the project delivery framework. You will plan, control and execute a set of activities to deliver a broad range of IT projects specific to applications : to agreed parameters of cost, timescales and quality. You will require an IT-related Degree or equivalent tertiary qualification including Project Management with 3-5 years suitable experience in project delivery, change delivery, 3rd party software vendor selection and management. You also need a solid understanding of the costs of IT (project and "lifetime") and the ability to cost operational IT services to identify cost saving or revenue generating benefits.

DUTIES :

• Responsible for the definition, documentation and satisfactory delivery of projects.
• Maintain project timeframes, budgeting estimates and status reports.
• Responsible for effective Stakeholder selection and engagement for the duration of the project.
• Manage escalations when tolerances are breached in terms of cost, time and quality requirements.
• Manage resources for projects, such as computer equipment and resources.
• Coordinate Project team members and develop schedules and individual responsibilities.
• Implement IT strategies that deliver projects on schedule and within budget and timeframes.
• Use Project Management tools to track project performance and schedule adherence.
• Conduct risk assessments for projects.
• Organise meetings to discuss project goals and progress.
