Our client, a national leader in the processed meat and FMCG sector, is looking for a Sales Director to drive national growth across retail, wholesale, and food service channels. This is a senior role for a dynamic commercial leader with a proven track record in strategy, team management, and customer growth.
Based in Durban (with national travel)
- 10+ years in FMCG sales leadership
- A bachelor’s degree or MBA is required
- Meat / food manufacturing experience preferred
- National travel required
Key Responsibilities Include :
Lead and manage the national sales strategy and execution across multiple provincesDrive revenue growth across retail, wholesale, and food service segmentsLead, mentor and grow a high-performing national sales teamManage key customer relationships and large account negotiationsCollaborate with production, finance and supply chain to align sales targetsMonitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategyOversee budgets, pricing models, and promotional planningReport directly to senior leadership and advise on market development opportunitiesRequirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or a relevant commercial fieldMinimum 10 years’ experience in FMCG sales, including 5+ years at a senior leadership levelPrior experience in the meat, food manufacturing or perishables sector highly advantageousProven ability to lead and grow national teamsExceptional commercial, negotiation, and communication skillsWillingness to travel nationally as requiredAPPLY NOW!
