Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a vibrant, sporty and emotionally intelligent au pair–tutor with a strong understanding of neurodiversity and a passion for both active and creative engagement. This role involves supporting two neurodivergent siblings : a bright, imaginative 17-year-old girl with ADHD who enjoys creating TikTok videos, editing content, and playing Roblox; and her curious 13-year-old brother (Level 1 ASD, PDA profile), who loves music, problem-solving experiments, exploring how things work, and playing soccer and basketball.
The ideal candidate is sporty, confident, and full of humour—someone who can connect with teens through shared interests and provide a safe, motivating presence. You’ll play a key role in their afternoon routines, structured learning, appropriate downtime and overall wellbeing, offering consistent guidance and modelling positive habits with warmth and clarity.
Main Purpose of the Job
To be a helping hand for the siblings’ unique and specific support needs—providing daily guidance, encouragement, and practical assistance so they can thrive emotionally, academically, and physically. A core responsibility is basic tutoring support for the 13-year-old, supporting his learning with structure, creativity, and patience. A passion for neurodiversity and the ability to be a consistent, secure, and long-term source of support is essential.
Job Objectives

- Thoughtfully plan and facilitate appropriate downtime, creating space for rest, regulation, and low-demand activities. The goal is to foster a predictable rhythm that honours each sibling’s individual needs and supports emotional safety between structured tasks
- Support executive functioning needs, such as building consistent routines

- Assist with preparing meals and snacks when needed
- Plan and facilitate outings during school holidays
