Expert Operations Expert position at the forefront of global Group IT solutions

Work with cutting-edge Unix / Linux systems and Veritas Infoscale technologies

Multi-platform expertise with OneHypervisor cloud platforms and process optimization

POSITION : Contract : 01 October 2025 31 December 2028 EXPERIENCE : 8 Years Operations Environment Experience COMMENCEMENT : 01 October 2025 LOCATION : Hybrid : Midrand / Menlyn / Home Office rotation TEAM : Linux OneHypervisor Qualifications / Experience

Degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience / Relevant Unix / Linux / Red Hat certification / ITIL process knowledge and work experience (advantageous) / Minimum 8 years operations environment experience

Essential Skills Requirements

Must have experience / understanding :

Unix / Linux Operating Systems - Proven experience with SUSE environments

Veritas Infoscale - VCS / VCP qualification in Storage and Availability or equivalent 5 years service provider experience in Linux environments

Production Operations - Proven experience in operations or process management in complex production environments

High-Pressure Management - Tolerance for managing critical incidents in high-pressure environments

IT Operations Excellence - Extensive experience in standby support and ticket management

Scripting Proficiency - Terraform Python Bash or PowerShell expertise

Organizational Skills - Excellent multitasking and decision-making abilities

PIC Processes - Understanding and adaptation to PIC frameworks

Standby Operations - Serving as part of standby and MOD team roster

Performance Monitoring - Develop implement and monitor KPIs for operational effectiveness

Process Optimization - Identify gaps and recommend automation solutions

Cross-functional Coordination - Seamless operations and escalation resolution

Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter

Advantageous Skills Requirements

Knowledge about :

ITSM Platforms - Deep knowledge in ServiceNow or Remedy

Enterprise Systems - SAP and Oracle management maintenance OS patching and monitoring

Collaboration Tools - Confluence / Jira proficiency

Leadership Skills - Multi-tasking and team leadership capabilities

Stakeholder Management - Provider steering and KPI delivery management

Cloud Services - Public and private cloud experience (Azure AWS)

Role Requirements

Working on Linux and OneHypervisor solutions :

Process Oversight - Oversee and optimize daily operational processes ensuring efficiency and compliance

Performance Management - Develop and monitor performance metrics and KPIs for operational effectiveness

Continuous Improvement - Identify process gaps and recommend improvements or automation solutions

Cross-functional Leadership - Coordinate with teams to ensure seamless operations and resolve escalations

Strategic Analysis - Analyze operational data providing strategic insights and actionable recommendations

Resource Management - Manage allocation to meet project deadlines and operational goals

Compliance Management - Ensure adherence to company policies regulations and industry standards

Documentation Excellence - Prepare detailed reports process documentation and training materials

Operational Excellence - Lead initiatives driving operational excellence and cost savings

24 / 7 Operations - Participate in standby and MOD team roster for critical support

Incident Management - Handle high and critical incidents in complex production environments
