Minimum Requirements
- PSIRA Registration – Grade A (Compulsory)
- Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent
- Security / Risk Management or Policing qualification (Advantageous)
- Firearm Competency : Handgun & Shotgun (Mandatory for Armed Sites)
- Valid Code 8 / B Driver’s License
- First Aid Level 1 & Firefighting Training (Advantageous)
- SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) Compliance Knowledge
- Computer literacy : MS Word, Excel & Email
Experience & Background
Minimum 5 years’ experience in security management or a supervisory roleExperience managing large teams of guards, supervisors & control room staffStrong background in incident investigation, client liaison, and report writingProven knowledge of SLA compliance and contractual obligationsFamiliarity with CCTV, access control, and radio communication systemsKey Competencies

Oversee daily operations and deployment of security personnelConduct site inspections, parades, and enforce compliance with post ordersMaintain operational registers (incident, occurrence, shift, etc.)Perform regular risk assessments and implement mitigation strategiesEnsure compliance with PSIRA, OHS Act, Firearms Control Act, and internal policiesLiaise with clients, SAPS, and stakeholders effectivelyInvestigate and professionally report incidents or breachesManage and audit equipment registers (firearms, radios, PPE)Monitor attendance, timekeeping, and disciplinary mattersCompile accurate weekly / monthly reports for internal and client useCoordinate and ensure emergency response readinessAdditional Requirements
