Automotive Financial Manager

Our client is looking for an experienced Financial Manager to take ownership of the full finance function across their multi-brand dealerships, covering new and used vehicles, service, parts, workshop, and property entities. This is a senior role requiring strong leadership, technical finance expertise, and deep dealership experience.

Role Purpose

The Financial Manager will be responsible for delivering accurate, bank-ready management accounts, reconciliations, cash flow, and covenant reporting. They will ensure compliance across VAT, SARS, and statutory requirements, maintain discipline in Keyloop Autoline , and lead a small high-performing finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver monthly management accounts (P&L by department, Balance Sheet, cash flow, KPIs, variance analysis) within T+7.
• Maintain full Trial Balance integrity, ensuring all subledgers are reconciled (Debtors, Creditors, VSB, Parts, WIP, VAT, payroll, bank, intercompany).
• Manage floorplan facilities, daily cash positioning, and banking relationships.
• Ensure VAT accuracy, SARS compliance, and support annual audit / reviews.
• Provide commercial finance insights (margins, stock turns, discounts, OEM incentives).
• Lead, mentor, and manage the finance team; drive Autoline discipline and process improvements.
