HSE Officer (Health, Safety & Environmental)

Description :

Hire Resolves Client is urgently looking for an experienced HSE Officer to join their mining company based in Gauteng.

Responsibilities :

• Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act Environmental Management Act and other applicable legislation.
• Conduct regular risk assessments safety inspections and audits across mining operations.
• Develop implement and monitor HSE policies procedures and safety management systems.
• Investigate incidents accidents and near misses and compile detailed reports with corrective actions.
• Facilitate safety inductions toolbox talks and ongoing HSE training for employees and contractors.
• Promote a strong safety culture by driving awareness campaigns and employee engagement initiatives.
• Monitor and manage environmental aspects including waste management pollution prevention and rehabilitation measures.
Requirements :
• Grade 12
• BSc Degree in Environmental Science / Earth Science
• SAMTRAC Certificate
• 5 years experience as an HSE Officer.
• Knowledge of OSHA MHSA Primary Environmental Acts and Regulations in South Africa.
• Valid Drivers License
