Job descriptionForecast demand and manage inventory to prevent shortages or overstock situations. Production Coordination : Ensure that all production activities are aligned with company goals and customer requirements. Problem Solving : Implement corrective actions and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. Communication : Provide regular updates to management regarding production status, inventory levels, and any potential issues. Data Analysis : Prepare reports and presentations for management to assist in strategic planning. Proven experience in planning and expediting within the steel service industry or a similar environment. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and skills. Proficiency in planning softwares. Understanding of steel processing and fabrication is a plus. Must be able to work in a warehouse environment , including exposure to machinery and equipment. Must be a proactive and hands-on professional with a passion for optimizing operations in the steel service industry.
Key Responsibilities :
- Material Planning :
Analyse production schedules and inventory levels to determine material requirements.
Collaborate with production teams to develop and adjust schedules based on capacity and customer demands.
Identify and resolve issues in the production process, minimizing downtime and delays.
Serve as a liaison between different departments, including production, procurement, drawing office and sales, to facilitate smooth operations.
Utilize planning software and tools to analyze production data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
