Purpose of the Role

As a Production Planner you will be required to plan and coordinate production activities of all manufacturing equipment, assuring maximum efficiency of machines, throughput, and labour in order to optimize profitability, in accordance with customer requirements.

Scheduling and Planning

• Obtain orders from Customer Service in order to create a job in the system, plan production based on capacity and pull system.
• Daily planning of production facility according to capacity and customer requirements in accordance with materials, labour and equipment availability.
• Update schedule to sales for status of jobs and delivery dates.
• Coordinating production workflow to optimize manufacturing capacity.
• Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance.
• Monitor job progress to ensure OTIF KPI’s are met.
• Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption.
• Obtain daily output information (number of finished products, percentage of plan achieved, OTIF, etc.)
• Prioritize jobs considering request dates and production efficiencies.
• Communicate and negotiate with the sales if delays occur.
• Clearly communicate relevant departments of changes to current production schedules, promptly addressing and resolving production issues to minimize delays.
