Renewable Project Manager / Engineer

Our client in the Engineering sector is seeking a skilled Renewable Project Manager / Engineer to join their dynamic team based in Midrand, Gauteng . This role will require occasional site visits to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) .

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing or engineering renewable energy projects, including solar, substations, and grid infrastructure.

Desired skills and qualifications :

• Degree or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years experience in project management within the power or energy sector.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project) and CAD software for system design.
• Knowledge of national and international electrical engineering standards (e.g., ISO, IEC, SANS, BS).
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and permitting processes for solar installations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (fluency in English required; French is a plus).
• Registration with a relevant professional body (e.g., ECSA, SAIEE, or equivalent) is advantageous.
