Role PurposeThe Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the technical execution of engineering projects, ensuring that scope, schedule, quality, and budget objectives are met. This role manages mechanical and piping deliverables, interfaces with all project disciplines, and facilitates collaboration with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery and compliance with technical standards.
? ? Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Engineering
Maintain technical integrity, scope definition, and quality standards across design, procurement, and constructionCoordinate with design, procurement, and construction teams, providing technical guidance and corrective actionsEnsure compliance with contract requirements and company standardsManage supplier and contractor interfaces and foster long-term service provider relationshipsMonitor progress and proactively address issues to support project deliveryProject Engineering & Administration
Manage technical information flow between stakeholders and ensure accurate documentationOversee change control processes and scope alignment throughout the project lifecycleSupport cost control and ensure deliverables are completed for client handoverFacilitate cross-disciplinary collaboration to maintain project integrity and scheduleTechnical Reviews
Review vendor and internal documentation for compliance with project and client requirementsConduct technical adjudications and material trade-off analysesParticipate in HAZOP, model, and RAMBO reviews to ensure safety and regulatory complianceProvide technical input to support project decisionsStrategy & Process Improvement
Identify and support initiatives to improve engineering processes, tools, and practicesPromote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the engineering team? ? Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum Requirements
National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering3+ years’ experience in project engineering for process plants (studies, basic and detailed engineering)3+ years’ engineering design experience in process plant constructionDesirable
