Bulk Material Handling Mechanical Engineer – SA Mpumalanga, Witbank / Emalahleni

Our client is looking for a Bulk Material Handling Mechanical Engineer for a 10‑month project in Witbank.

Minimum requirements

• Oversee conveyors, crushers, feeders, and transfer systems
• Manage equipment design, installation, and performance optimisation
• Conduct reliability engineering and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Plan and coordinate shutdowns and preventive maintenance
• Ensure compliance with mechanical, safety, and quality standards
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years post‑ECSA registered
• SAQA verified qualifications
• 10+ years in mining, cement, ports, or heavy industrial environments
• Deep knowledge of bulk handling systems and rotating equipment
• Strong mechanical design and maintenance background
• Excellent project management and coordination abilities
• Industry background : mining, cement, ports, logistics, and heavy industrial environments
• Knowledge & Skills Required : conveyor systems, crushers, chutes, and feeders
• Mechanical design, installation, and maintenance of material handling equipment
• Structural and rotating equipment alignment
• Experience with load testing and performance optimisation
